Luxury Resort App

App redesign
Project Overview
This project consisted on the redesign of the app from the biggest luxury resort in Portugal.
My Contributions
I've worked across all the design thinking process, mostly on the UI design deliverables.
The challenge
The client for this project was a luxury resort located in Portugal that was in need to create a new version of its app.

The structure of this resort is very complex, as it offers many different types of services to its guests, such as spa, golf, kid's club, restaurants, beach activities, etc. Also, they receive different types of guests, apart from normal hotel guests, they have vacation club members and apartment owners.

The main challenges of the redesign was to:
- Update the look and feel - the UI and UX was outdated
- Guarantee scalability - to meet the diverse business needs, new services and integrations
- Improve the information architecture - finding a better way to organize lots of sections and information
Discovery
The discovery phase was divided into three steps:
- Interview with the client - to align expectations and learn more about the resort we have interviewed the marketing and front-office teams
- Survey with guests - more than 200 guests answered a survey we did to understand their needs and how they use (or why they don't use) the current app
- Benchmarking - looking for reference on resort apps, airline tickets, restaurant reservations, among others
Define
On the define phase, we've found two main questions to target on our proposal - how might we...
- Make the guest experience more comfortable?
- Present all the resort's services and offers in a simple way?

On this phase, we've also defined our user persona to help guiding our design decisions.
Develop & Deliver
On the ideation and development phase, three moodboards were created and presented to the client to guide the aesthetics of the proposal.

The deliver was divided into three phases:
1 - Information Architecture - definition of the hierarchy of categories and sessions, definition of labels - UX writing
2 - Wireframes - definition of main screens, deepening in flow and experience
3 - High Fidelity Prototype - style guide, visual style definition (UI elements), prototyping
